One Hundred and Some Hoopla!

Today was a day of celebrations. I attended the opening reception of the WVA "From Where I Sit" show at Lakeland University in Plymouth, WI tonight, where Gossamer Gallery made it's official public debut. It was an evening of incredible art and many heartfelt conversations. It's always a joy to have the opportunity to come together with other artists and discuss our process.

I also got to speak with students who attend Lakeland University, where GG was a big hit! I invited students and other artists to apply for shows in the gallery, and discussed the behind the scenes of building the gallery, the sneaky features (like how the staircase to the artist studio folds up to hide in the ceiling for do not disturb work time).

One excellent feature of the gallery tags for the art in this show is a space where we got to put a QR code for our work. The one for Gossamer Gallery takes you right to our Instagram page, since the gallery isn't for sale. Imagine my surprise when I got home from Lakeland and discovered that we hit 100 (plus 1) followers on Instagram! Thank you so much, and I love that you love the dollhouse as much as I do! I can't wait to work with everyone!
