Gallery News

It's official, Gossamer Gallery is going on a road trip to Lakeland University, in Plymouth, WI as part of the art show titled, "From Where I Sit." What does this mean for you? There will be a pause on accepting any new artwork for the gallery from September 7th through October 25th. Luckily we have several solo shows lined up already. And of course we'll take photos of Gossamer Gallery inside of the gallery at Lakeland. (Gallery-ception anyone?) Fret not, we'll still be posting here, over on Instagram, and on our Facebook page. We also invite you to come to the opening reception of the show, Friday, September 20th from 4 - 7 p.m.

Some background information on the show: From Where I Sit is a joint show between members of the Southeast and Northeast chapter of the WVA (Wisconsin Visual Artists) and the students at Lakeland University. Gossamer Gallery was submitted as a 3D piece of art, along with an artist's statement relating to how the gallery was related to me, Denise, as the creator. I'll share the statement with you in a future post, after the judging and opening reception have taken place.

Upcoming show information:

November: Kelly Witte solo show

January: Jodi Brzezinski solo show

March: Penny DeCamara solo show

There's still a few days left to submit for the Summer's Not Over Yet show as well! I have time to photograph any work submitted to me as long as I have it before the gallery hits the road on the 7th. So get those entries in!!
